Delhi Weather Update: Dense Fog Likely, Chilly Mornings & Evenings with Cloudy Skies Today

According to a Met department announcement, the sky will remain completely overcast, so dense fog is expected at most places and very dense fog in some places on Tuesday morning.


The chance of heavy fog could be a frequent occurrence by Friday in Delhi. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in some parts, while severe fog is articulated for several. During this time, the sky will be under thick cloud cover wherein the highest could be nearly 26 degrees Celsius while the least drop to 10 degrees Celsius.
The fog will create a fall in early and evening temperatures.

However, between 7 am and 8:30 am on Thursday, visibility was recorded as 500 meters at Safdarjung Airport. At eight o’clock the visibility was recorded as 700 meters at Palam Airport. Several were saved from the cold in the afternoon due to brightness.

According to the report made by the Meteorological Department, the lowest ever reported was 9.2 degrees Celsius. In many places, it was almost 9 degrees in the said period. For some places, the highest temperature recorded was on a concurrent basis it was 26.7 degrees Celsius which was 4.6 degrees higher than normal. 9.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Lodhi Road and Ridge.

 

With an AQI of 363, the quality of air in the capital is categorized under ‘very poor’ condition

The air quality in the capital is still pretty bad. People are forced to breathe polluted air. The CPCB said the air quality index has gone up to 363 points. In several places, AQI readings were higher than 400.

 

In the NCR, air quality remained best in Gurugram, with an AQI of 282. In Noida, it was 238, while it was 245 in Ghaziabad. Wind speed was ten kilometers an hour. On Friday, the CPCB forecasts the winds might flow from the southeast.
