Budget 2025 for Chandigarh

Chandigarh named as a beautiful city got the biggest budget ever. Although there was demand was big still NDA gave a handsome budget to the city of Chandigarh. If we talk about the demand then the Chandigarh administration demanded rs  7950 crores and the government approved 6983.18 Crores.

Out of which 6185.18 crores is received in the revenue head and 798 crores in the capital head. If we walk about last year’s budget, the government approved  6513.62 crores out of which 5858.62 crores were in revenue head and 655 crores in capital head This year Government approved 469.56 crores more than last year.

Chandigarh Administration view

Administration officials say that a bigger budget was demanded so that some stalled projects and development of villages could be speeded up. As per officials, they demanded extra money for municipal corporations. However, Chandigarh has not received the budget as per demand in the budget announced on Saturday.

Comparing last year’s budget 

Last year Chandigarh received Rs 6513.62 crore. This time it has received Rs 6983.18 crore. This is an increase of 7.21 percent. The administration has received Rs 326.56 crore more in the revenue head and Rs 143 crore more in the capital head as compared to last year. The administration receives money from the revenue head i.e. salary, allowance,s and other expenses, while the money received from the capital head is used for development works.

Manish Tiwari on budget

Manish Tiwari who is an MP in Chandigarh said that in this budget nothing for Chandigarh. He said if we talk about inflation it is 5.22% and as per inflation this budget is nothing for Chandigarh.

. The entire northern region of Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh have found no place in the Union Budget. There is nothing for the agitating farmers who have been sitting on the borders of Punjab and Haryana for years.
