New Change in Class 10th Board Exams starting from the next session. Know more here.

CBSE (Central  Board of Secondary Education) which is the main governing body for conducting papers for class 10th and 12th also known as board exams has announced that starting from the next session, they would be conducting two boards in a session instead of one.

Purpose of this plan:

The purpose of this plan is for CBSE to lighten up the pressure there is on the students, and promote their overall growth. Talking about will there be any syllabus change, we believe that there should be very minute to no syllabus change as CBSE had revised its syllabus just recently

What is the pattern?

This plan was first stated in the NEP 2020 (New Education Policy) in which CBSE stated that they wanted to lighten the burden there was on the board exam students.

While this information is 90% percent confirmed that exams will be held twice a year, the pattern has not been revealed yet. Still, many leaks suggest that the exams will be following this pattern:

  • The exams will be held twice.
  • Students have a choice to attend both the exams or either one of them.
  • The better result of the two papers will be considered
  • The required attendance percentage is 75%
  • The internals would be carrying a weightage of 40%

Is this a good news or a bad news:

While everyone’s opinion about this situation is different some believe that it is a piece of good news as the pressure on students will be less as they have 2 opportunities to score a good result while others believe that this is not a good idea considering that CBSE shouldn’t change their plans this often and hence should let the old system of exams continue. Well, the opinion is all up to you.

It has also been revealed that a poll was conducted by CBSE in which they asked almost all CBSE-affiliated schools whether this 2-board system should be applied or not and reports suggest that 60% of these schools agreed that the new 2-board exam system will help ease the pressure of boards there is on students for their upcoming board exams.

What is your opinion about this new system that will soon be implemented by CBSE, share your opinions in the comments below.
