On Sunday The Air force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Amit Chief General Upendra Dwivedi flew together in the LCA Tejas fighter airplane. To start the air show India 2025 in Bangalore both the Defence chief boarded on the plane before a day to start the air show. Between February 10 and February 14 The Air show India 2025 will be held.
This is the first time in Indian history when two generals of Defence flew together in the indigenous fighter jet. After completing the flying the army chief general Dwivedi describes his experience in the indigenous fighter jet and mentioned this is the best moment of his life.
In the interview he also mentions they both have been together since NDA(NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) days. He said, I would have joined the Air Force and would become an Air Force fighter pilot if I could have met the Air force Chief earlier.
The Army Chief declared, “From today, AP Singh is my guru
During the interview Army Chief general Upendra Dwivedi said that Air Chief Marshal AP Singh made him do many activities during the flight and this flight was very challenging for him. I enjoyed completing all the challenges during the flight and if further said from today onwards the Air Chief Marshal is my Guru.
In interview he also mentioned his very grateful to the IAF and he admires the courage of the fighter pilots who are facing all these challenges.
Prime Minister Modi has taken a flight in the Tejas fighter jet
On 25 November 2023 prime minister Narendra Modi also flew in the Tejas fighter plane in Bangalore. This is the first time when an Indian prime minister was flying in the indigenous water plane. Before boarding in the fighter plane the prime minister of India also visited Hindustan aeronautics limited (HAL) in Bangalore. HAL is developing the single Indian light fighter aircraft Tejas. In the Indian Air Force two of its squadrons has been deployed.
