Good news for central employees and pensioners! Before Holi, the government is going to give them a big gift. According to information received from sources, the government is going to increase the dearness allowance (DA) by up to 3 percent. This will see a bumper increase in their salary.
However, the government has not yet officially announced it. But a decision can be taken on this in the Union Cabinet meeting to be held on February 28.
How much will the DA increase?
The government can increase the DA by up to 3 percent. If this happens, it will increase to 56 percent. Currently, employees are getting 53 percent DA. The new rates will be applicable from January 1.
How much will the salary increase?
After the increase in DA, there will be a significant increase in the salary of the employees. For example, if an employee’s salary is Rs 50,000 per month, then according to 3 percent DA, his salary will increase by Rs 1500 per month. That is, there will be a benefit of Rs 18,000 annually.
When will the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?
The Union Cabinet has approved the 8th Pay Commission, but the date of its implementation has not been decided yet. It is expected that the government can implement it from January 1, 2026.
