If you have an LPG gas cylinder in your house, then this news is for you! The government has announced a subsidy of ₹300 on LPG gas. But do you know whether this subsidy has come to your account or not? If not, then do not worry, we will tell you how you can check your subsidy status instantly.
What is an LPG gas subsidy, and who gets it?
The government wants that every house should have a stove, and no one has to cook in wood and smoke. Therefore, free gas connection is given to poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Also, some money is returned on filling the gas cylinder, which is called a subsidy.
If your connection is with any of HP Gas, Indane Gas, or Bharat Gas, then as soon as the cylinder is filled, the subsidy money comes directly to your bank account.
How do I check the status of the LPG gas subsidy?
If you have just got your cylinder refilled and want to know whether you got the subsidy or not, then these methods are for you:
Check through SMS:
If your bank account is linked to your mobile number, then you get an SMS from the bank as soon as you get the subsidy.
Check your mobile inbox; there will be a message from the bank.
The message will contain the subsidy amount and other information.
If the SMS does not come, then it is possible that your bank account is not linked to the gas connection. In such a case, adopt the online method.
Check online from the LPG website:
If the SMS does not come, or you need more information, then you can check by visiting the LPG website.
Open the LPG website on your mobile or computer.
Select your gas company (Indane, Bharat Gas, HP Gas).
Log in (if you do not have an account, register first).
Click on ‘Cylinder Booking History’.
Here, you will get complete information about the subsidy, like when and how much money came into your account.
If you want, you can also download this information.
Check from the bank statement:
If you are not getting the information from SMS and online portal, then you can also check from your bank statement.
Log in to net banking or mobile banking app.
Check the recent transactions in your account statement.
If subsidy has come, then DBTL (Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG) will be written there.
If the subsidy is not visible here also, then you should talk to your gas dealer.
