Central government employees are deemed to have deserving support through salary increases as the Modi government is soon to initiate a 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike under the 7th Pay Commission. If sources are considered the official announcement of this increase may come as soon as March 10, 2025, dispensing financial relief to over one lakh employees and pensioners.

Whereas the current DA is 53% an increase of 3% will now bring it to 56%v effective January 1, 2025. Basic pay ₹50,000: The 3% increase will work out to ₹1,500 additional per month.
That comes to ₹18,000 in salary increment per annum.

The 7th Pay Commission sets two DA increments into the calendar: January and July. The last had been in October 2024 and ample time has since elapsed. So employees are about to get yet another.
