Chandigarh Police Orders No Entry in Civil Dress for Officers & Jawans

News is coming from Police headquarter that No police personnel posted at Sector-9 Police Headquarters in Chandigarh will now be able to come in civil dress. All jawans and officers will have to come to the headquarters in full police dress.

If any jawan posted at the headquarters now comes without dress, then action will be taken against him as per the rules. Regarding this, written orders have been issued by Police Headquarters DSP P. Abhinandan.

Monday to Friday uniform is mandatory

The policemen posted at the headquarters usually wore uniform only on Fridays. On all other days they used to come in casual dress.

The DSP Headquarters has written in its order that it has come to the notice that the employees posted at the Police Headquarters come wearing civil dress during duty.

The order states that in connection with the above, all the employees posted at the Police Headquarters will have to wear uniform from Monday to Friday.

Order Copy is circulated

Departmental action will be taken for non-compliance of the orders. A copy of these orders has been sent to the in-charges of all wings and departments at the headquarters for compliance.

Earlier, the DSP had issued an order making it mandatory for all policemen to have a visitor slip when they visit the headquarters for official work or personal work.

The order said that to strengthen security at the headquarters, it is necessary for all police personnel to get a visitor slip from the pass window every time they visit the headquarters for official work or any other reason. The said slip will have to be deposited back at the pass window while returning.

Headquarters became a topic of discussion

Earlier, DGP Surendra Singh Yadav had also issued written orders to SSPs, SPs to regularly visit police stations and field units, hold staff meetings, review from time to time and regularly issue visit notes, supervision notes and action plans.

CCTV Camera Installation

Apart from this, CCTV cameras with voice recording have also been installed in the corridors of the police headquarters. These cameras have been installed in those corridors where senior rank officers sit in the headquarters. This matter has also become a topic of discussion in the headquarters for the last several days.
