Telecom Service providers Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Airtel have introduced new plans that feature JioHotstar Subscription so that users can watch the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). To get more information, read the article given below.
Why have these plans been launched?
These plans have been launched by the Telecom providers in order to attract the Audience to buy their plans. If the users buy these plans, they will be provided with a free subscription of JioHotstar, which currently holds the broadcasting rights in India for the streaming of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Due to the cricket craze in India, companies like Airtel and Vi intend to increase their user base by including such plans.
What is JioHotstar?
Many might not know what JioHotstar is, in simple words, JioHotstar is a collaboration of two companies, Jio and Hotstar, as both ott platforms, Jio Cinema and Hotstar, have merged into a single app named JioHotstar. This app was also launched to increase the user’s ease of accessibility, as the users will have to buy a single subscription to enjoy the content on both platforms.
Packs launched by Airtel and Vi that would feature a JioHotstar subscription:
Airtel has introduced two new plans that will feature a JioHotstar subscription. These include:
- 100 rupees prepaid plan that features 5GB of data and 30 days worth of JioHotstar Subscription.
- 195 rupees prepaid plan that features 15GB of data and 90 days worth of JioHotstar Subscription.
Vi, moreover, has introduced 1 data pack and 2 plans that provide its users with a JioHotstar subscription:
- 101 rupees plan with 5GB of data and 30 days’ worth of JioHotstar
(Must note: These are not standalone packs and require an active plan along with them)
Vi also provides customers with the 299 plan and other plans like these that provide a JioHotstar subscription.
Is it worth buying these plans?
