BCCI Imposes Strict 10-Point Code of Conduct for Players: Here’s What You Need to Know

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) issued an advisory for the players that no player will do any personal travel ahead of the First match against England. They have issued this guideline very strictly. As Imposed by BCCI.

BCCI has made strict policies after losing the series against Australia. They cut short the family stay during the series on foreign trips.

 

What is This 10 point Dictate

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a set of rules and guidelines, commonly referred to as the “10-point dictate,” to regulate the behavior and ensure the security of players during the upcoming England T20I series. While the complete list of points may not be officially disclosed in its entirety, some of the major elements of the dictator are likely to include the following:

No Personal Vehicles: Players are not allowed to use personal vehicles for transportation during the series. The BCCI will arrange official transportation to ensure player security.

Tight Security Protocols: BCCI will ensure the security of all the players during the hotel stay and travel.

Banned Social Media Activity: Players are not allowed on social media activities during the series. This is to avoid the restriction.

Stringent Hotel Arrangements: BCCI will be responsible for hotel stays and all related security. 

Health and Wellness Monitoring: Players’ health will be regularly monitored, especially considering any COVID-19-related concerns. This includes regular testing and maintaining bio-secure bubbles.

Team Schedules and Privacy: Team Schedules will be maintained properly along with their privacy. No exposure to the outside during the series.

Media Interactions Controlled: Media access like press Conference will be limited unless until association does not permit this 

No Fan Interactions in Certain Areas: Fans’ Interaction will be limited to players during the series.

Adherence to Professional Conduct: Players to follow the BCCI code of ethics Players are expected to maintain a high standard of conduct both on and off the field,

Strict Anti-Doping Measures: The BCCI will implement anti-doping rules, ensuring players undergo regular checks during the series to promote fair play and player well-being.

 

The Indian cricket team has made this mandatory for all the players to travel with the team so that discipline will be ensured.

 

Ajit Gavaskar Statement

 

As Ajit Gavaskar said these new rules are not punishment, for the Indian Team not, the school. Apart from the above rules  BCCI mentioned that all players must play in domestic cricket while not being on the national duty.

The effect can be seen by the availability of Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, and Rohit Sharma. They are available for the Ranji Trophy now.

However, Star Player Virat Kohli and KL Rahul won’t be participating due to their injuries. Chief Ajit Agarkar said this is not a punishment for Players and he said all teams have to follow a certain set of rules to get the best result in the coming series
