Ingredients to make Poha:
1 cup Poha
1 tbsp oil
1/8 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
8-10 curry leaves
2-3 whole red chillies
1/2 cup potatoes, finely chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1 tsp green chillies, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp coriander leaves
Lemon peel (for garnishing)
Method to make Poha:
First, put the poha in a sieve and wash it with water. Remember, do not soak the Poha in water for too long; clean it and let it remain in the sieve.
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the asafoetida, mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion, and whole red chillies. When the onion turns light golden, add the finely chopped potatoes. Fry the potatoes until they turn light golden. Add the turmeric powder, mix, and fry the potatoes on a low flame. They should be cooked well.
Turn the flame high and add salt and soaked poha to the pan. Mix well and lightly fry.
