Bumrah’s injury : Huge blow for the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming white ball series against England !

Famous bowler of the Indian cricket team, Jasprit Bumrah will most likely be rested for the upcoming white-ball (ODI and T20) series against England.

India Lost Gawaskar Series due to Bumrah’s absence

Although India lost the series against Australia but star bowler Jasprit Bumrah played a very important role in those 5 matches and took 32 wickets under his name.Yet, his efforts went in vain as India lost the Gawaskar trophy after 10 years. From the last decade, this trophy was under the umbrella of the Indian Cricket Team. .Cricket analyst blames that this major loss is due to the absence of star pacer Bumrah, who had suffered from a major back spasm during the 5th test match.

 

Bumrah’s score-card in Gawaskar series:

In this series Bumrah took a total of 32 wickets in 151.2 overs with a stunning average of 13.06 which was highly appreciated by Gautam Gambhir as well as other players.Unfortunately, he got injured during his 3rd bowl of 152nd over of this series.

 

 

Upcoming White-Ball Series in January

White-ball series is about to start from 22nd of January at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In this series a total of 5 T20 matches and 3 ODI’s will take place. Basically, this series will be for the practice of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which will start on February 19.

 

Will Bumrah be able to play in the upcoming series?

As Bumrah is suffering from Back spasm injury (yet to be confirmed by the medical staff) If the injury is in the Grade 1 category then Bumrah is said to miss 2-3 weeks before RTP (Returning to play). .In case of a grade 2 or grade 3 category injury, Bumrah will be out for 6 weeks and 24 weeks respectively. . As per cricket analysts or pundits, it will be a major blow to the Indian cricket team if the injury is said to be of grade-2 or grade-3 category.

The details that are to be released by BCCI in a matter of days about the 31-year-old’s injury  will decide whether he will play in the White Ball series against England or not.
