Chandigarh CBI registered this case in June 2023.

What is the Case?

In fact, in this case, the CBI had received information from a secret source that Jatindra Singh Bedi of JS MLS MK Agencies-4 Anand Complex Sector-17A Chandigarh is taking a contract for order supply in Bikaner Unit-365, Rajasthan. The said firm operator has got the tender bills paid without objection by bypassing the rules of JAM. For this work, a bribe is being given to Uma Shankar Prasad Kushwaha (IDAS: 1998) Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA) Pratap Nagar Khatipura Road South Western Command Jaipur.

In this game, JS Bedi was in contact with army officers Sandeep Rajput and Dev Kumar Verma posted in Bikaner to bribe Officer Kushwaha. Apart from this, Bedi sometimes contacts through Vijay Nama Junior Translator PCDA South Western Command Jaipur. The file for passing the contract and bill had to be approved by Integrated Financial Advisor Uma Shankar Prasad Kushwaha. Kushwaha passed it, in place of which 20 thousand rupees were also transferred as a bribe to a private bank account on 19 September 2022.

Objections were removed from the tender file after receiving the bribe

Sources said that on September 21, 2022, the contractor was informed that in his case, instead of 6 months, the tender had been approved for only three months and he expressed his displeasure by informing Vijay Nama about this. Soon after this, the tender was approved for six months. It was told that earlier officer Kushwaha had raised some objections on the file, but later those objections were removed by calling the file again. They talked in code words in which it was told that case 365 had been approved and they had been instructed to collect illegal copies from the party i.e. they were asked to approve the file of Bikaner’s unit 365 and take the remaining bribe money from the contractor. Rs 49500 bribe was transferred by the contractor to the accounts of army officers Sandeep Singh Rajput and Dev Kumar Verma in three installments. In this case, the CBI had registered a case on June 21, 2023, based on secret information under 7, 7A, 8, 12, and 120B.
