What is the Transfer Window?
Those who have been watching football for a long time might surely know this, but those who are new to this sport might not. Basically, the Transfer Window is a time period during which every club can sign or sell their players to improve their squad depth. There are a total of 2 transfer windows throughout the year, the January Transfer window and the June transfer window. These transfer windows span throughout the month and it is only during this time that the Teams are allowed to buy or sell players.

Given below is a list of all the confirmed transfers for the 2025 January transfer window:
1.Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Napoli→Paris Saint-Germain)
One of the, if not the biggest transfers of this window was the move of Napoli’s star boy and Georgian Winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who has moved from the club that got him all his fame i.e. Napoli to the French League Giants, PSG. The value of the transfer is said to be around €60 million! The Paris Fans have great expectations for the Winger and believe that he will light up the League with his game.
2. Omar M armoush (Frankfurt→Manchester-City)
Next on this list is the 25-year-old Egyptian striker, Omar Marmoush. He has been brought from Frankfurt at a whopping cost of €59 Million. The reason behind Manchester City splashing such a large sum of money on him is because of the Bad form Man City is currently in very bad form. The 4 consecutive times reigning champions sit at 5th place which is the worst they have performed since the last 4 years. Thus, many believe that strengthening their team can provide Manchester City with a greater chance to win the league.
3.Abdukodir Khusanov (RC Lens→Manchester City)
This is also a big-money signing completed by Manchester City in order to keep the hopes of winning the title alive. The 20 year old center back had been showing a lot of potential at Lens has been bought by city for a sum of around €33 million. This was a much-needed signing considering that Machester City’s defence is struggling with injury issues and they need more depth in that department. History has also been set as Khusanov will be the first Uzbek to play in the Premier League.
4.Randal Kolo Muani (PSG→Juventus)
Randal Kolo Muani is set to join the Italian Giants Juventus on loan after his spell at PSG did not work out. The French striker has gone on loan as he believes that a new chapter will be completely refreshing for him. This loan spell is for the remainder of the 24-25 season with no option to buy.
5.Kyle Walker (Manchester City→AC Milan)
Another big deal has occurred has occurred as AC Milan have secured the signature of World-class English right-back Kyle Walker who has joined AC Milan on loan. This move for the 34-year-old has happened due to the controversy regarding Walker’s spouse. It is to be noted that Kyle Walker was the Captain of Manchester City.
Transfer Rumours:
- Neymar Jr. (Al-Hilal→Santos)
The biggest rumor of this transfer window is the move of the Brazilian Sensation Neymar. Many believe that Neymar is going to join his first professional club, Santos FC. Though the chances of this happening are very low, the most probable outcome of this rumor is that Neymar will be terminating his contract by mutual consent and then will move to Santos for free.
- Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus→Not revealed)
Another rumor is the move of Vlahovic, The striker from Juventus has received many bids from various premier league clubs. Clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea are eying him and are willing to go to any extent to sign the Serbian.
- Evan Ferguson (Brighton→Arsenal)
Next on this list is the Irish Striker, Evan Ferguson who is being linked to various top League Clubs including Arsenal and Chelsea. He is yet to make his decision about leaving Brighton or not.
