So, today, we will tell you an easy recipe to make carrot halwa in a jiffy, which will also taste excellent.
Ingredients:
1 kg red carrots
500 grams of sugar (you can increase or decrease according to your taste)
5-10 cashews and almonds (finely chopped)
Some raisins
Half a teaspoon of fennel powder
Half a teaspoon of cardamom powder
1 bowl of Desi ghee
1 bowl of fresh cream
Method of preparation:
First, wash the carrots thoroughly, peel and grate them.
Now, put the grated carrots in a cooker and cook on low flame till eight whistles. This will make the carrots soft quickly.
Heat 5-6 tablespoons of ghee in a pan. Add boiled carrots and fry them on high flame when the ghee melts.
Add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well when the carrots are well fried.
Cook till the sugar dissolves.
Now, add fresh cream and the remaining ghee and mix well. Fry the halwa till it starts giving out a pleasant aroma.
In a separate pan, fry finely chopped cashews, almonds and raisins till they turn light golden. Then, add them to the carrot halwa and mix well. There you go, your instant carrot halwa is ready! Serve it hot and celebrate Mahashivratri with sweets.
