Heavy Rainfall Alert! IMD Issues Red Warning for THESE Indian States

IMD’s 7-Day Forecast: Heavy rain has been falling in the entire North India, including Delhi-NCR, since last night. Along with rain, cold winds are also blowing, due to which cold is being felt again. In the month of February, this rain has proved to be a brake on the rising heat.

 

Delhi Weather:

It has been raining in the capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas since morning, due to which the minimum temperature has dropped. People have started feeling cold once again. The good thing is that due to rain, the air of Delhi has also become clean.

The Meteorological Department had already issued an alert of rain with thunder in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, such weather will remain till this evening (February 20). After this, there is a possibility of a drizzle in Delhi tomorrow, i.e., on February 21. Along with Delhi, the weather has changed due to rain in some areas of UP, such as Noida-Ghaziabad, Haryana, and Rajasthan.

 

In which states is there a rain alert?

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance has come in the northern region of India. Due to its effect, snowfall is likely on high hills on 20-21 February. At the same time, cold winds are expected to blow along with rain in the lower plains. During this time, there will be thundershowers in many areas. Due to strong winds, standing crops in the fields may get damaged.

According to the IMD, the rain will continue in Arunachal Pradesh till February 25. Also, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland may see rain throughout the week. A rain alert has been issued for the next 7 days in Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Darjeeling. Today, a rain alert has been issued in West Rajasthan, Odisha, and Assam.

 

Rain alert in Uttar Pradesh:

According to the IMD, a yellow alert has been issued due to rain in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Many parts of UP are expected to remain cloudy on Thursday as well. According to the IMD, heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur, and Shravasti. Apart from this, rains with strong winds are expected in Ayodhya, Barabanki, Basti, Lakhimpur Kheri, and adjoining areas.
