Basant Panchami Special: It is the festival of Basant Panchami and Maa Saraswati loves yellow-coloured things. On this special occasion, you can make delicious sweet boondi at home and offer it to Maa. It is also very easy to make and everyone will like it very much. So let’s know the very simple method of making sweet boondi:
Ingredients
2 cups gram flour
2 cups water
1 pinch salt
Saffron food color
2 cups sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
3-6 strands of saffron
Ghee
Method of making
First of all, sieve the gram flour in a vessel. Then add ghee and salt to it and mix well.
Now add water slowly and make a smooth solution of gram flour. Keep in mind that there are no lumps in the solution.
Keep the solution covered for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, whisk the solution well 4-5 times.
Now add 1 tablespoon water and mix.
Add 2-3 drops of saffron color to the solution.
Now to make the syrup, add sugar and water in a pan and boil it.
Cook for 2-3 minutes. The syrup should not be too thick.
When the syrup feels sticky between the fingers, understand that it is ready.
Add saffron strands to it and cover it.
Now heat ghee in a pan.
To make boondi, slowly pour one spoon of the solution on the grater.
When the boondi starts floating, keep stirring it in between.
Remove the boondi from the ghee within 1 minute.
Put the fried boondi in the hot syrup and mix it well.
After some time, filter it with a ladle with holes.
When the extra syrup is drained, take out the boondi in a bowl and offer it as bhog.
Tips
You can use colors as per your choice.
Do not fry the boondi for too long, otherwise it will become hard.
Do not make the syrup too thick, otherwise, the boondi will not absorb the syrup.

By beating the solution for a long time, the boondi becomes soft.
Cooking the syrup at the right temperature makes the boondi juicy.
