IMD Issues Red Alert: These States to Witness Extreme Rainfall in Next 72 Hours

Weather Forecast: In early February, heat started to feel in the plains of North India. Temperatures are also rising rapidly in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa. However, many states still have a slight chill in the morning and evening.

According to the Meteorological Department, states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, and Punjab experience mild chills in the morning and evening. Still, the temperature rises rapidly during the day. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday was 29.7 degrees Celsius, above standard.

Bihar Weather: The mood of the weather is also changing in Bihar. People have been facing severe colds for the last few days, but now, the heat is being felt. According to scientists at the Meteorological Center in Patna, fog may prevail in some places in the districts of the northern parts of the state on February 12 and 13.

Due to cold, westerly winds, the state feels chilly in the morning and evening, so warm clothes are required. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature may fall by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next 48 hours.

Heavy rain warning in these states: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a snowfall warning in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh until February 15. Heavy rains are also predicted in Darjeeling, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Nagaland, and Meghalaya in West Bengal. People living in these areas have been advised to remain alert.

Rain warning in these states: According to Skymet, light to moderate rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department predicts heavy snowfall with light to moderate rain in Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir,r and parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Snowfall and rain are also expected in these states. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in Assam, Sikkim, and Uttarakhand. The minimum temperature of Northwest and Central India will not significantly change.

Delhi Weather: According to the Meteorological Department, light fog may prevail in Delhi on Wednesday morning, and strong winds will blow during the day. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 11 degrees Celsius, and the maximum around 27 degrees Celsius.
