Instagram Launches ‘Edits app’: A New Video Editing App Amid TikTok and CapCut Bans

Meta

Instagram has announced to launch a new Video editing app “Edit”. According to the sources this app is more focused on the creators as a user, rather than normal people who just simply edit the videos. After the ban on CapCut and TikTok, the new application “Edit” is about to launch in the market. The app CapCut was removed from the play store and app store as this app belongs to TikTok’s Byte dance.

For some time TikTok was banned in the US. Since Donald Trump’s intervention, TikTok came into operation again. But now 50% ownership is with America of the company. Considering this situation, Instagram have taken advantage of the opportunity and announced a launch of a new app, hopefully in February.

Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri on Sunday announced – Same day TikTok was banned in the US – that they will soon offer a new video editing application which is owned by Meta “Edit”. This app is being said to be the clone of the existing application “CapCut”.

In recent announcement by Mosseri it is stated that “There is lot going on in the world and no matter what, they will create compelling creatives for the users who make videos not just for Instagram but for other platforms as well”.

As stated by Mosseri, By Sunday, the Edit application will be available for free pre-order download only on the Apple App store, and for becoming available to download on the Google play store it will be on time.

The upcoming application “Edit” will be a fully mobile video editing software. This is stated to be the best tool available for the creator. Many creative tools will be available in this application along with many sections and tabs for Inspiration and other stuff where all the new ideas of the other user will be presented.

Even the app supports sharing the draft video to their friends. This is the half edited video of the users, which can be sent to a friend or company to review for the collaboration, so that more and more shots can be easily added to the video.

According to the news from Instagram, thew will also have the feature to know of how the video is performing once it is edited through the Edit application and pushed to Instagram. This will help the users to keep track of the video in real time on the application.

This tool is primarily focused on the Creator since the starting and has kept them as their major target audience so that they become habitual of using this application. The dashboard will be there to track each and everything regarding the video making it more compelling for user friendly.
