KYC Deadline Approaching for PNB Users 23rd January 2025

India’s second-largest bank has shared an important update for its users regarding KYC. It has been conveyed that users who fail to update their KYC before the given deadline may face some issues during their account operations.

Some essential things to focus on:

Who needs to update KYC details?

• Users whose updates were due as of 30th September 2024 need to follow this guideline.

 

Why KYC is Important?

• It is a mandate from RBI to verify every account holder’s identity. Regular updates to the details are necessary to keep the bank account active.

 

How to Update KYC?

Customer can submit their KYC details along with the following documents through various sources:

• Documents needed – Identity proof, address proof, photographs, PAN/Form 60, mobile number and IC (income certificate)

Submission steps (Can choose any one)
• Visit the PNB branch in person
• Use Internet banking or the PNB One app
• Send the documents via email or registered post

What happens if KYC is not updated?
• If KYC details are not updated by 23rd January 2025 – May result in restrictive account operations.
