As the last week of February arrives, there is a rapid change in the weather. It seems as if winters are preparing to say goodbye and summers are knocking. In the plains of North India, the temperature is increasing significantly during the day, due to which people have started feeling the heat. However, there is still a slight chill in the morning and evening.

 

Snowfall and rain alert on the mountains

Weather Alert: Talking about the hilly areas, the cold wave is continuing in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. There is snowfall in many places here, due to which the temperature has dropped. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and snowfall in these states in the coming days.

 

Possibility of rain in the plains too

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there may be rain in the plains of North India as well. From February 26 to March 1, rain is expected in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

 

Weather will also change in South India.

Rain is also expected in some states of South India. IMD has predicted light to moderate rain in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.

 

Weather Department’s warning

The Meteorological Department has advised people to be alert about the changing weather. People have been advised to stay in safe places and avoid unnecessary travel during the rain.
