Padma Awards 2025: On the night before 76th Republic Day, the Central government announced the list of Padma Awards 2025.

India’s highest civilian honors the Padma Awards are conferred in three categories Padma Bhushan Vibhushan and Padma Shri.These awards are offered in various fields of excellence such as Art, Public affairs, Social work, science, trade, industry, medicine, literature, engineering, education, civil service, and sports.
Padma Vibhushan awards 2025
Padma Vibhushan is given for distinguished services. In 2025 it has been awarded to 7 extraordinary talents of India. 3 out of these are related to fields of Arts namely Smt Kumudini Rajnikant Lakhia from Gujrat, Shri Lakshminarayan ji from Karnataka, and Smt Sharda Sinha, hailing from Bihar was an Indian folk singer known as Swar Kokila of Bihar is awarded this prestigious award Posthumous. She left us all on 5 Nov 2024. Her song Kahe Tose se sajna was a banger in Bollywood. Her songs are mostly in Maithili and Bhojpuri.
In the field of Literature, it has been awarded to Shri M.T. Vasudevan Nair of Kerala Post Humongous. For Public affairs, it has been given to Justice Shri Jagdish Khehar from Chandigarh. For Medicine. Shri Duvvur Reddy from Telangana. Shri Osamu Suzuki for Trade and Industry Posthumous.
Padma Bhushan awards 2025
Padma Bhushan Award is awarded for Distinguished higher-order service. 23 people are awarded Padma Bhushan 2025. Of 23, 4 are awarded Post Humongous, Shri Bibek Debroy for Literature, Shri Pankaj Udas for Arts, Shri Manohar Joshi and Shri Sushil Modi from Public Affairs.
Out of 19 others, 7 from Arts, 1 from Sports, 2 from Trade, 1 from Medicine, 3 from Literature and Education. One from Archaeology other from science and one from social work.
Padma Shri awards 2025
Padma Shri is awarded for distinguished services in any field. 113 people are awarded by Padmashri as per the reports. Out of which 23 are female and 13 are under the category of Posthumous. Arijit Singh is one of them.10 persons are NRI /Foreigners 41 are from the art field. Padma Shri includes 1 duo award which will be counted as one.
The award ceremony will be held in March /April tentatively. In the ceremony, 139 Padma awardees will get awards from President at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Check out the complete list.
