Ranya Rao Case: Gold Smuggling
News is coming from Bangalore that DRI has recovered gold worth Rs.17.3 Crores along with Cash. Name of Kannada actress Ranya Rao is involved in this case.

DRI intercepted Ranya at Kempegowda airport on Monday night with 14.2 kg gold strapped on her body.
A raid was conducted at her Lavell Road apartment, where designer gold worth 2.1 crore and 2.7 crore in cash were found.
She is the Daughter OF DGP
Just for the information of all, Ranya is a daughter of Karnatka DGP. Her father’s name is K. Ramchandra Rao. She was arrested and produced in the court on Tuesday. Now she is in judicial Custody for 14 days.
As per official statement, she has been under surveillance as she was a frequent flyer internationally.
She made 10 Gulf trips in the last few months, and according to officials, her pattern was similar in the last four trips. She was wearing a dress that allowed her to carry gold easily.
As per news now they moving toward more investigation by raiding the boutique, which is in the central business district.
Seems the names of prominent politicians are also coming out in this case, but up to now no information has been revealed.
As politicians name are involved, so the Congress MLAs are behind this case. Karnataka Home Minister G. Parneshwara asked for a detailed report on this case.
As per the statement of her father, DGP Rao, he said was unaware of these things. Let the law do its best. As of now, there is not a single black in my career.
As of now, she is under judicial custody and the police is doing further investigation as Rao said she was blackmailed to do this smuggling.
