What is E-KYC?
E-KYC stands for Electronic Know Your Customer. W-KYC is an online process through which a person’s identity is verified. This process is mandatory for the ration card also so that makes government ensures that the benefit of ration is given to the right ration card holder person.
What’s the Last Date for Completing E-KYC?
As per the UPFSD ( Uttar Pradesh Food and Supplies Department), February 15th, 2025 will be the last day to complete the E-KYC process for the ration card holders. If a person do not complete the E-KYC process then the benefits of getting ration from the government will be stopped.
How to Complete E-KYC?
The Ration card holder who wants to complete the KYC process can do it online. They have to download the Mera Ration 2.0 app from the Google Play Store. To complete the further E-KYC process below are the steps the user can follow:
Download and install the Mera Ration 2.0 app.
The user has to enter a mobile number and get OTP.
After entering an OTP click on the submit key.
Click on Manage Family Details.
Enter your information and complete the E-KYC.
Tap on the submit button.
Benefits of E-KYC
E-KYC offers several benefits, with the biggest being that it ensures the rightful person receives the ration card benefits. Additionally, E-KYC helps prevent the use of fake ration cards.
