Republic Day Rehearsal : Avoid These Roads Appeal by Delhi Police

As all of you know Republic Day is coming on 26 January and we as Indian celebrate this as a festival in India. So preparation for this is going in full swing which can be seen in Delhi Capital. Parade rehearsals are going on in Delhi as on the 26th they have to perform this in front of India. Many cultural activities are happening on 26thform the people of Different states.

All the forces will also show their capabilities and Caliber. Final Rehearsal will take place for these activities will be in between 24th Jan to 26th Jan .

 

Heavy Traffic Update on Metro

 

So many roads have been blocked and some alternate routes are suggested to avoid traffic during this time. Heavy  Rush can be seen in metros because many roads are blocked by the government. People are using metro services rather than using their vehicles.

 

Which Roads are Blocked

 

If you are living in Delhi then there is an update for you that which road you have to use and which road you have to avoid. As parade rehearsal for Republic Day is going on So Vijay Chowk is closed to Delhi public.

Similarly, India Gate, Kartavya Pat,h, and Many Other roads are also blocked due to this rehearsal. It will be open after the 26th of January for the public.

Other than this Traffic  Movement is also banned from Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road on Kartvya Path from 11 pm on  January 23. Crossing on this route will be allowed under the supervision of traffic police as per the schedule of the Parade.

 

Alternate Roads 

 

To divert the traffic Delhi Traffic Police has suggested other Routes for the general public to avoid  inconvenience  As per Traffic police alternate routes will be Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kaley Khan, and IPFlyover can be used as an alternate. This Road is called the North-South Route.

For East west Route you can reach Dholan Kuan via Bharon road, Mathura Road, Lodhi Road, Aurobindo Marg, and Aims Chowk.

For Railway Stations To reach Railway Station use Panchkuian Road and Paharganj from South Delhi.

To Reach Old Delhi Railway Station  Use Ring Road, Ashram Chowk nd SP Mukherjee Marg.

 

Appeal To Delhi Public

 

Delhi Police has requested Delhi Public to avoid affected routes between 24th January to 26 January unless not required and also if there is no urgency. They have appealed to the public to follow alternate routes to maintain smooth traffic.
