It must also be noted that the parent company, ByteDance will not be selling the TikTok app completely, rather they will be selling some stake in their company. This means that ByteDance would still remain as the partial owner of the TikTok app. Estimation of the price at which TikTok will be bought can range from anywhere between 40 Billion and 200 Billion $.

The major question that arises in every Indian’s mind is whether TikTok being bought out will result in its return to India. Even if it was banned in 2020, many Indians still want their loved social media app of the lockdown era to be back after a long time of 5 years.
