Viacom18’s Jio Cinema and Star India’s Disney+Hotstar have become JioHotstar from today. After the successful merger of Viacom18 and Star India, the new joint venture of the two companies went live on February 14, 2025. According to a statement from the company, with about 3 lakh hours of entertainment, live streaming of sports, and more than 50 crore users, JioHotstar has come up with great membership plans to suit the needs of different audiences. The starting price of JioHotstar’s membership plans is Rs 149. The statement said that existing customers of Jio Cinema and Disney+Hotstar will be able to easily activate their existing plan (subscription) in JioHotstar.
