UP Board Examination: The Uttar Pradesh Board today started the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) examinations amidst a security frenzy at the centers for accountability and zero possibility of cheating for over 54 lakh students at 8140 centers across the state.
New Rule: Each page should mention the roll number.
The students have to write their roll numbers and their answer sheets’ numbers on every page in order to prevent any malpractice from taking place. This would hence prevent the exchange of answer sheets.
More Detailed Examination and Arrangements for Security of the UP Board Examination
One examiner for every 20-25 students, depending on the number within the register; two for up to 40 and three for 41-60.
Zonal, sectoral, and static magistrates will oversee the entire exam process.
Irregular and unannounced checks would be conducted by senior officers from commissioners to IGs who are responsible for overseeing examination processes.
Deployment of the STF and police present an increased security blanket to critical examination centers.
Program of Exams and Timing
Morning Shift: High School Hindi from 8.00-11.15, Primary Hindi, Intermediate Military Science.
Afternoon Shift: Intermediate Hindi 2.00-5.15; General Hindi; High School Health as exams.
Due exam dates are scheduled from February 24 to March 12, 2025.
Bribery Reports for Admit Cards: Board Issues Warning for Students
Social media revealed that students were being solicited to pay illegal fees to get an admit card. The Board cautioned that no additional amount is to be paid and would surely take serious action against those demanding.

Change in OMR Format in High School Examination
Distribution of exam question papers:
– 20 Marks: MCQ on OMR sheets.
– 50 Marks: Other descriptive answers in handwritten books.
The Three Phases of the OMR Sheet
Phase 1: The extension of the phase will be from February 24 to March 3; by March 6 OMR sheets
Phase 2: OMR sheets up to March 9, with the final date being March 12.
Phase 3: March 10 to March 12, with the final dispatch of all on March 18.
₹55 Lakh Allocated for Exam Monitoring Vehicles
For real-time examination monitoring, an amount of ₹55,29,500 has been sanctioned as fuel expenses for observing vehicles.
HINDI & ENGLISH QUESTION OF ALL SUBJECTS
The whole papers except the language papers will be in Hindi and English language. Students of Hindi medium need not apply for a separate paper.
